This is a used 1940's Simplicity 4653 pattern. It is for Bust 38 and Hip 41. It has the instructions but the envelope is ripped all the way around. You can still read and see everything, though.
Rules: Monday evenings I will post a pattern for the giveaway. You have to follow my blog and leave a comment. I will do the randomly choose a comment on Sunday evenings. I am going to do this the entire summer and you can win more than once so leave a comment every week. I have about 75 very vintage patterns. A huge amount would look HORRIBLE on me so I am giving them away. I will be making the ones that will look good on me or my sisters.
Disclaimer: The last giveaway no one was able to post a comment on my blog, so I will be giving them both away this week. I reset everything and hope you all can post comments now!
The winner tonight is Myra. She has been emailed! The winner of last week's pattern is SEW RED HOT! I do not have your email so email me at andrea at 4sanchez dot com and give me your address! I will have the next pattern up in a little bit:-)
Hi, I just saw your post on Sew Retro, and wanted to say that it's nice to see another Houstonian who likes vintage patterns! I won't enter the give-away -- I have an embarrassingly large number of vintage patterns already -- but those are both great designs!
ReplyDeleteI'm not interested in winning the pattern. I just wanted to say that I'm in the Houston area, too. My family lives near Pearland. I live in Spring, neat The Woodlands. I also love to sew from vintage patterns.

Hi Andrea & Trudy,
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome to "meet" local sewists! I usually only meet quilters here. I like that, too but I love to sew clothing. Y'all should go ahead and do the patterns, too. I really have a ton. I got them from a very nice guy and I won't sell them. I am only keeping the ones I will use as I also have purchased a lot more over the years. I will admit to a fabric and pattern habit:-)
Have a great week, HoustonCrafter
I love the vogue special design pattern from your previous post. I don't live anywhere near Houston!

I'm on the east coast. I follow your blog for the sewing and crafts but I do want to try your tomato basil pizza.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the giveaway.
Hey, great to see a fellow sewer from Houston - originally from there, now live in Yorktown, outside Victoria. In fact, from the same side of town, Hobby Airport area. Love to enter, my blog is www.adventuresbabysewing.blogspot.com and email myrayeretsky at sbcglobal dot net.
ReplyDeleteHey, did you get my email with my address?
ReplyDeleteHi Myra,
ReplyDeleteI am more than sure you should have received your pattern by now, but if not email me and I will send you another!!
